How you'll be impactful:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team! This person will bring scientific rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of product creation, development, and improvement with an appreciation for the behaviors of the end user. Our ideal candidate will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and analysts on a wide range of problems.

Please note: This role will be required to be in our SF office at minimum 2x/week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays)

What you'll be doing:



  • Understanding the working of Ingenio's Business Model
  • Data analysis to find the gaps and signals in data to decide if we should do ML on a given project
  • Designing A/B test for post deployment of ML model
  • Measuring ML metrics for a given Machine Learning model
  • Measuring and convey performance on ML model on train/test data
  • Tuning and deploying the ML models and get the best output
  • Writing and deploying ready code
  • Writing restful APIs
  • Working with cross-functional partners, including analytics, engineer, marketing and other partners, and understand their requirements
  • Converting business requirements to technical requirements


What you'll need to be successful:



  • Master's Degree from an accredited University in a quantitative discipline: Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in working in the field of data analysis or 1+ years of experience in data science
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and other RDBMS databases
  • 1+ years of experience working with linear regression, logistic regression, random forest, gradient boosting algorithms and other similar machine learning algorithms
  • 2+ years of experience in doing a/b testing on the model deployment
  • 2+ years of experience with Python frameworks used for data manipulation, visualizations, and mining. The frameworks may include but are not limited to Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn, Seaborn etc.
  • Knowledge of ML metrics and business metrics
  • Ability to present complex analysis and insights in simple terms
  • Proactive collaboration and effective communication are critical
  • Ability to understand the business requirements and convert them into technical requirements
  • Have a fast turnaround time to be able to do multiple iterations on model


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree and 2+ years of experience in Data Science
  • Previous experience in writing deploy ready codes

Pay Transparency:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $165,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits
