Conflicts Analyst

Winston & Strawn LLP's Legal Innovation Center (WLIC) is seeking to hire Licensed Attorneys to handle research from various third-party resources, draft screening memoranda, draft engagement letters and work on various projects in the Conflicts Department. You will be an integral member of the team and will gain meaningful experience working with our attorneys and fortune 500 clients.

In this role you will have a particular focus on completing and analyzing computerized conflict searches of existing and potential clients to avoid possible legal conflicts. The ideal candidate will must have the ability to analyze conflicts searches for potential or actual conflicts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic conflict searches and analyze search results with the appropriate internal and external databases and ensure that all necessary information is obtained so that an accurate search can be completed.
  • Review new client and matter forms to ensure that all information, signatures, and documentation have been received for approval.
  • Provide customer service to secretaries and attorneys regarding the conflict's clearance process.
  • Draft new business-related waivers and ethical screens.
  • Assist with department projects and special requests.

  • Location: Chicago, Dallas, or Houston,
  • Positions are either flexible hybrid or remote, depending on the project and location.
  • Estimated Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing Need
  • Estimated Duration: Long Term Projects
  • Minimum Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Hours of Operation: Flexible schedule based on project needs. Generally, Monday through Friday. Optional weekend hours available.
  • Estimated Pay Rate: Pay rate varies based on experience and geographical location.
  • Paid time off after 90 days of employment.
  • Health Insurance after 60 days of employment.
  • Possibility of permanent hire.
  • Must not join any outside projects or perform any outside legal work while working with Winston & Strawn LLP.
