Robot Technician

Webasto Roof Systems Inc. is currently recruiting for a Robot Technician located at their Detroit Plant in Plymouth, MI.

Job Responsibilites

- Autonomous maintenance and repair of production equipment and

related control units in line with Maintenance Plans

- Virtual commissioning of relevant manufacturing equipment

- Application of Simulation Tools (e.g. plan and process simulator)

- Error analysis and correction in case of equipment breakdowns

- Programming of PLC controls

- Programming of robots

- Programming of PC controlled test benches (Visual-Basic, Lab-View)

- Ensuring the constant technical availability of the system

- Support the continuous improvement of machines, tools, equipment and

processes

Job Requirements

Proven experience in PLC, PC and Robot Programming (e.g. Siemens,

FANUC)

- Basic understanding of Smart Factory related processes and tools (e.g.

digitalization, automation)

- Knowledge of MS-Office and SAP PM/EBP

- Basic IATF/VDA/OEM Requirements

- Working knowledge of relevant HSE and workplace safety requirements and

relevant certifications
