Cloud Technology Generalist

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Cloud Technology Generalist to remotely support the U.S. Army's Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) to support a team in enabling new DoD and Agency technologies' and applications' migration to the Army Cloud (cArmy). In this role, you will be responsible for operating proprietary cloud readiness assessment software, supporting architectural design/solutioning within AWS and Azure cloud environments and engaging with a variety of commercial and government technologists. Responsibilities:

• Support the build of new cloud-based data center services environments for DoD cloud initiatives
• Support the deployment and management of webapps to non-production environments in AWS and Azure GovCloud
• Deploy and configure new servers and software in support of customer requirements and applications
• Review, translate, and convey the outputs of proprietary cloud migration readiness assessment software to a variety of stakeholders with varying levels of cloud knowledge

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have Secret Clearance
• Must have a good understanding of both Linux and Windows-based systems
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Linux OS installations
• Ability to install and troubleshoot local HyperV and Oracle Virtual box for local sandbox environments
• General understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols (HTTP, FTP, NFS, etc.)
• Security+ (or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (i.e., RHCSA, RHCE, MCSA, etc.)
• 5+ years' experience as a sysadmin
• Preference: Fluency in programming/scripting skills for automation such as Bash, Ruby, Python, and Perl

• Work is fully remote
• Operations occur on East Coast hours (0800-1600)
