Physical therapy aide works under the direct supervision of a physical therapist. Performs duties assigned by the physical therapist under direct supervision, may be assigned with clerical tasks on the front office. They only perform delegated, selected, or routine tasks in specific situations. They may be assigned with specific tasks such as observing patient during treatment sessions, other tasks may involve securing patients into or onto the therapy equipment., transporting patients to and from the treatment areas, keeping the treatment area well organized, answering telephone calls and directing it to the appropriate staff members.

Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).

• Administrative Duties (Print home exercises)

• Observe Patient During Treatment Session
• Assist Physical Therapist
• Communication
• Opening and Closing Office
• Organizing Therapeutic Equipment
• Cleaning Treatment Areas
• Assist in Gait Training
• Track Inventory
• Order Supplies
• Appointment Scheduling (PCC Role)
• Follow Up Scheduling (PCC Role)
• Other Duties as Provided by the Facility

Required Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Healthcare experience

California Residents Only: The hourly range for California residents is $16.00 to $27.31.
