Part-time Certified Massage Therapist

We are currently seeking a Part-time Certified Massage Therapist to collaborate therapy with our team of chiropractors and physical therapists to treat clients by using their hands to manipulate muscles and other soft tissues of the body. Through touch and pressure, the massage therapist works to improve the client's overall wellness by relieving pain, soothing injuries, increasing relaxation and improving circulation. The massage therapist is also responsible for maintaining a detailed client history, which may include past injuries or health conditions.

Therapists are paid per session and have the ability to self-schedule. This is a part-time position working approximately 12 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

Location: 9325 Upland Lane N, Suite 230 Maple Grove, MN 55369

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide 30-90-minute massages to clients by appointment
  • Work in conjunction with clinic chiropractors and physical therapists to treat patients
  • Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions
  • Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body
  • Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods
  • Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients
  • Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire

Required Qualifications:



  • Certification from a state approved school of therapeutic massage with at least 500 hours of massage therapy related training
  • Proficient knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitative massage techniques such as; trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue, sports massage
  • Proven solid interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven time management abilities
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service skills



Preferred Qualifications:



  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Experience working in a spa or clinic
  • Understanding the benefits of PT and chiropractic care
  • Interest in rehabilitation/pain management and anatomy
