Sr Hardware Engineer- Access Switching

In order to pursue a successful product development roadmap, the EAS Modular Switching development team is looking to add a strong, highly-motivated Hardware Engineer in the San Jose, California development site.

For this role, we are looking for a candidate that can:

• Work in a team environment to craft, develop, and release new Ethernet Switching products
• Partner with Software, ASIC Development, HW Qualification, and Manufacturing teams
• Apply a comprehensive multi-functional development methodology that ensures the adaptability of the product, with a focus on high reliability and customer happiness

We are the Enterprise Hardware development group under Cisco's overall Hardware Organization. We do Hardware design and development for the very successful Cisco Catalyst 9400 modular access products.

Our Minimum Requirements for this role:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with MSEE or 7+ years of experience with BSEE
• Experience with System Design Concepts
• Experience in lab bring up and system design validation
• Experience with high-speed design signal integrity issues, power distribution, and CPU subsystem design

• Motivated, passionate individual, who has a strong desire to be a great teammate
• Knowledge of Systems operation
• Experience in Board Design tools: Cadence Concept/Allegro
• Excellent social skills; ability to express complex technological concepts, influence others, and emphasize partnership within a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat deadlines
• Desire to go "above and beyond" to complete a variety of development & support activities
