Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Advanced Sourcing team, in support of R&D and Product Development, to ensure sourcing of parts on time and within budget for new programs and key customer launches.
  • Ensure target cost and timeline adherence and facilitate the successful transfer of suppliers into the production environment.
  • Lead the Advance Sourcing team in interpreting, defining, and communicating requirements to suppliers in multiple development stages of products including R&D, development, prototypes, etc.
  • Initiate supplier selection decisions that provide lowest total cost, required quality and delivery levels with minimum level of risk in line with Integer's commodity strategies.
  • Drive upfront supply continuity risk assessment and mitigation as part of supplier selection for NPI programs.
  • Actively seek and introduce new supplier technologies and advancements in materials, processes, equipment that will reduce total cost and help build competitive advantage for Integer.
  • Leverage supplier technical expertise to reduce time for product development, improve new product cost and quality.
  • Provide commercial oversight in the early supplier engagement phase to assure that Integer Sourcing objectives of cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, risk mitigation and best overall value are met.
  • Review open book costing with pre-selected suppliers to validate total costs for piece price and tooling.
  • Pre-select suppliers for early involvement in line with commodity and supply chain strategies.
  • Evaluate supplier cost and design proposals with Integer Engineering and Product Development teams to assure that supplier technical inputs are considered during the early design development phase and most efficient design solutions are implemented.
  • Initiate and organize technical review meetings with potential suppliers to review design, manufacturing processes, raw material options and overall supplier capabilities.
  • Participate in customer program meetings, representing Integer's Sourcing function.
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with Integer's Commodity Management Team, regularly provide information and upfront visibility to NPI opportunities, to drive competitive leverage and get alignment on sourcing category strategies.
  • Drive a proactive vertical integration strategy development and execution to reduce cost and supply continuity risks.
  • Manage a team of Sr. Project Managers and oversee the overall Make vs. Buy (MvB) process including pipeline development, initial project vetting, business case development and stakeholder approval.
  • Develop and standardize a process for idea generation, evaluation, vetting and approval of potential MvB opportunities.
  • Develop, facilitate approval of, and manage project budgets through development of Statements of Work and Capital Acquisition Requests (CAR) as applicable.
  • Build and sustain relationships with internal and external customers to ensure timely completion of project deliverables, ensure that stakeholders are engaged and informed of projects status.
  • Develop metrics to drive performance to established goals.
  • Adhere to Integer Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements.

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field is required. Master's in Engineering, Science or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related process driven field. Knowledge of strategic sourcing applicable concepts, methodologies, and governance structures. Previous experience managing projects for Medical Device or other highly regulated industries.
