About the Job

Position: Maintenance Equipment Operator
Department: Facilities
Reports to: Director of Facilities Management

Responsibilities:

  • Operates various heavy hauling equipment such as 10 cubic yard tandem trucks in hauling snow.
  • Operates front end loaders, snow loaders, trucks, or other specialized equipment in maintaining the campus grounds.
  • Assists in the repair and maintenance of equipment operated.
  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance of equipment operated, including exchanging buckets on loaders, or replacing tires.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Highschool graduation or equivalent. Valid driver's license class A or B with no chargeable driving offenses. Minimum three years' experience consisting of the following: one year driving heave duty trucks of 10 ton load capacity or more plus two years' experience specific to the particular assignment, such as driving / operating maintenance equipment, rope and harness experience, knowledge of pruning and tree culture, or handling chemical waste in a prescribed manner.
