We are seeking highly motivated applicants for an Application Analyst to join our team in the Information Services division located at our Thomas Hill power plant. The successful applicant will provide support to Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. locations throughout the northern region.

As an Application Analyst, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key business partners. Leading and facilitating exceptional initiative outcomes. You'll work closely with end-users providing user support, identifying business needs, gathering requirements, and recommending solutions. This role will require configuring, maintaining, and supporting multiple applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in system administration, application support, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing satisfaction with our applications and the services we provide.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams in the identification and execution of application improvements, adding business value and enhancing the user experience.
  • Lead full-lifecycle projects that result in product enhancements, upgrades, and other system improvements.
  • Support end-users by providing exceptional technical support for application issues and product training.
  • Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings
  • Configure and customize applications to meet business needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve application issues and implement new solutions.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and provide training to end-users as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or comparable experience in a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand and analyze complex business processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills in application configuration, and system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrates the following five elements of skill progression: creativity, craftsmanship, community, communication, and change.
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle, or other relational databases is preferred, but not required.
  • Three years of related experience is preferred, but all levels will be considered.
