What You'll Be Doing

Cadmus international development work helps USAID, host country governments, and multilateral development banks around the globe advance their climate, environment, and energy goals through technical expertise. International development interns will support our clients and host countries through technical analysis, market research, capacity building and training, and stakeholder engagement.

The International Development Intern opportunity is a 10 week paid Internship beginning June 2023. Interns will be assigned to our Arlington, VA office.

Responsibilities:

Conduct policy analysis and research on energy, climate, and environment topics under the direction of a project manager and working in collaboration with other team members.
• Support stakeholder outreach, coordination, and communication; support the development and conduct of multiple types of events, including stakeholder workshops, training seminars, and large-scale client meetings; support research, administration, and logistics for events
• Collect data and information to prepare reports, assessments, and analytical materials.
• Work with clients to perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling, organizing meetings, and taking notes.
• Write, edit, and proofread documents or sections of documents, such as technical reports.

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate degree program
• Interest in one or more of the following areas:
  • Client and stakeholder outreach, engagement, and communications
  • Policy analysis, development, assessment, and evaluation
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis across clean energy, transportation (including electric vehicles and public transportation), energy efficiency, climate mitigation, adaptation, and resiliency domains
• Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable driven workplace
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
• Initiative and ability to self-direct on assignments
• Proficient in MS Office applications

Additional Information:

• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen

The hourly rate for this position will depend on the student's degree level. For undergraduate students the hourly rate is $25 and for graduate students it is $30.
