Orthotic Fitter, Inpatient - Per Diem

Description This per diem position in the Prosthetics/Orthoticsdepartment is designed to provide on-site or on-call coverage for inpatientorthotics primarily on the weekends but could also include weeknights andholidays. The position is responsible toprovide direct patient care for adult and pediatric patients requiring avariety of orthotic devices. Dutiesinclude treating patients, fitting orthotic devices, taking inventory,documentation, stocking supplies, and interacting with staff, patients,volunteers and visitors. This positionrequires someone who can work independently or with indirect supervision. Holdersof this job class are required to provide service to the multiple entities andsites affiliated with the UCLA Health including Ronald Reagan UCLA MedicalCenter and UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica.

Salary range: $39.86-$39.86 Hourly

Qualifications This position requires an individual to be qualified to fit, adjust, and deliver orthotics and is certified with either ABC or BOC and is good standing with their certifying body. P&O staff working with CCS patients shall be CCS paneled or directly supervised by a CCS paneled staff member. Individual must be Basic Life Support Certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
