In working to fulfill that vision we are comprised of more than 110 primary faculty and academics, 25 secondary faculty, and 200 staff members and provide mentorship and instruction to 225+ postgraduate and 650+ undergraduate students. We conduct research and instruction in public health disciplines such as behavioral medicine, biostatistics and bioinformatics, epidemiology, global health, health policy, health equity, public mental health, environmental and climate health, and preventive medicine, totaling ~$125M in grants and contracts, 6 degree programs, and housing five recharge cores providing services to UC San Diego and external customers. We engage in research and teaching collaborations with many partners across the Health Sciences and UCSD, and partnerships with the community and health agencies are fundamental to the School. Uses advanced technical expertise and program management concepts to analyze and develop state-wide programs, training deliverables and evaluate progress towards goals and objectives. Works on highly complex program issues, where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation and understanding of program strategies and objectives. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for program development, data analysis, and progress. Serves as "lead" and subject matter expert and liaison between project sites and associated agencies. As the area expert, provides guidance and conflict resolution, support and training to new hires and current project employees. Ensures that project employees are equipped and able to complete tasks. Completes logistical and administrative duties as needed. Will act as primary timekeeper for support staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $48,900 - $102,300 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $23.42 - $48.99 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
