Client Account Specialist

Cooley is seeking a Client Account Specialist to join the Accounting team.

Position Summary: The Client Account Specialist will be responsible for all billing aspects for designated billing attorneys.

Position Responsibilities:

• Duties include distribution, logging, preparation, processing and mailing of client bills
• Prompt and accurate assistance to attorneys, clients and staff to resolve complex billing problems by providing billing and A/R analysis or adjustments
• Research inquiries regarding past and present billing
• Filing and preparation of past month's billing for electronic scanning
• Review and summarization of engagement letters pertaining to special financial agreements
• Implementing and maintaining special fee and cost rate structures and maintenance of client and matter database
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Entry level candidates are welcome. No prior billing experience is needed as training will be provided; however, an aptitude for accounting and math is required.

Preferred:

• A college degree and previous law firm experience is highly preferred.

• Ability to interact and work well with vendors and co-workers.

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $29.00 - $33.00. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
