Requirements Research Services Librarian, Georgetown Law Library - Georgetown University Law Center Job Overview The Research Services Librarian is a member of the Library Research Services Department, the primary library department for the Law Center's research and document delivery needs. They participate in the planning, development, implementation and administration of the library's research services which support the research needs of the Law Center, focusing on the individual scholarly and educational pursuits of the law faculty, administration, and student body. Work Interactions Reporting directly to the Head of Library Research Services, the Research Services Librarian, when directed, reviews the work of other members of the Library Research Services staff, including professional librarians; and participates in managing and training of the Research Services Student Assistants. They also participate in the general functioning of the Patron Services Section - e.g., cooperating in the reference desk rotation, holding individual research consultations with patrons, and engaging in the faculty liaison program. The Research Services Librarian may also serve as a subject-matter specialist as assigned and called on to evaluate and select materials for the library's collection in those assigned subject areas.
