As a critical member of our team, you will design and build Apple's mission-critical applications for analytics pipelines and web services that help make our products better. Key Qualifications
  • Three plus years of programming expertise in Java/Scala/Python.
  • Three-plus years of distributed systems and big data experience are required. Familiarity with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and distributed queuing systems like Kafka.
  • Strong experience with multi-threading, Spring, and RESTful services.
  • Proven knowledge of application performance improvement techniques and caching solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with technologies like Akka, Spark is preferred.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally.
Description
This exciting software engineering position demands a strong background in technology, software engineering, encouraging partnerships, and strength in communication. You will be building tools that support developers at Apple and Worldwide to build better software. We are looking for someone who has experience coding software that is efficient, scalable, debuggable, and stable code as we process multiple terabytes of data daily. You will work with various teams across Apple to identify requirements and implement efficient solutions for surfacing diagnostic data to developers. Must have extensive experience in software architecture, design, and development. Solid understanding of concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerant techniques is desirable. Proven track record working with cross-functional teams with a focus on customer experience. Thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, operating at strategic and tactical levels.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $196,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
