Job Description

Become a champion for children's health with a career at CHA. We serve with purpose and passion to help 220 member children's hospitals improve kids' health and well-being.

Where You'll Work

This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.

What You'll Do



  • Develop, coordinate, and manage the Children's Hospital Association's (CHA) meeting and conference registration process and logistics.
  • Manages the request for proposal process, analyzes results, reviews, and negotiates contracts with hotels, restaurants, and vendors.
  • Collaborates and communicates with program leads to identify logistic information and resources necessary to execute a successful event.
  • Interfaces with vendors and internal customers to facilitate meeting/conference logistics (hotel, exhibit companies, ground transportation companies, restaurants, etc.).
  • Creates, edits, and organizes all registration materials for the conference or meeting.
  • Manages communications and tasks associated with room list management. Includes securing guestrooms, reconciling reservation lists, tracking pickup, and reporting status.
  • Acts as the primary on-site point of contact for conference attendees and hotel staff.
  • Manages restaurant or other off-site reservations.

Experience and Skills

What You'll Bring to CHA



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of project management experience in event and meeting management
  • Minimum of three years as an event coordinator for large conferences and meetings
  • Minimum of three years as a meeting planner
  • Experience with conference registration systems preferred.
  • Excellent project & time management skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively handle stress and deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse resource base and interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills
