Job Description

Plans and manages ongoing contractor relationships and marketing for trade allies to help drive awareness and participation in our performance-based, Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency programs. This position helps drive our energy savings pipeline by embedding PSE program awareness and knowledge into our contractor's engineering and sales teams and ensure they are utilizing our programs and measures. Responsible for two-way technical and programmatic communication that influences program design and customer awareness and uptake. Provides on-going training in light of contractor churn and outside influences such as the economy/supply chain and changes to policy, incentives and other funding sources.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs strategic account management for energy efficiency programs. Plans and manages relationships with trade allies, distributors, and commercial & industrial customers to develop project pipelines for multiple energy efficiency programs.
  • Negotiates contracts, sponsorships, and memorandum of understandings with trade allies, distributors, and third party partners to support energy efficiency program goals and targets.
  • Coordinates PSE's efforts in the development and implementation of new energy efficiency programs, biennial program planning, RFIs, and RFPs to support growth and participation in programs.
  • Leads and/or participates in process improvement initiatives to streamline energy efficiency programs.
  • Develops internal relationships with program managers, energy management engineers, outreach, marketing, communications, customer insights, and business services to increase participation in PSE's energy efficiency programs.
  • Oversees and/or leads energy efficiency special projects and pilots for PSE's commercial and industrial customers.
  • Develops, promotes, communicates and effectively implements a wide range of strategies to promote energy efficiency programs to PSE's commercial & industrial customers.
  • Travels to trade ally, distributor, and customer locations to build relationships and drive program performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in dealing with industrial customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office and Outlook applications.
  • Knowledge of Commercial/Industrial programs and tariffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic solutions that consider both PSE and customer needs.

Desired Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Marketing or Finance (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • CEM, BOC, certified commissioning professional, or other related certification.
  • Direct technical experience with commercial or industrial commissioning, building management controls systems or other advanced building or process systems.
  • Direct experience with outreach, advising or interaction with customers around performance-based energy efficiency programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid working environment.
  • Knowledge of energy markets.
  • Experience in energy industry with an emphasis in dealing with large energy loads

The pay range for this position is$97,600.00-$162,500.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
