PurposeResponsible for technical assistance for supporting advanced course planning, high school endorsements, CTE certifications, and pedagogy professional development for educators in The University of Texas at Austin Reset and Reimagine (R2) GEAR UP grant districts. Monitor implementation of professional development in the classrooms and the impact on student performance. This position is located in the East Texas/ South East Texas area and requires travel. ResponsibilitiesFunction 1: Coordinates and provides regular monitoring and technical assistance to professional development efforts in UT R2 GEAR UP grant districts. Function 2:Provide technical assistance and instructional support to districts to self-sustain professional development following grant implementation. Monitor implementation of professional development in the classrooms and the impact on parent engagement and student performance. Function 3:Coordinates and assists with the production and implementation of face-to-face and virtual Professional Development training for GEAR UP educators. Specifically, advanced course planning, high school endorsements, CTE certifications and pedagogy promising practices. Function 4:Provide information on available resources and promising practices to disseminate to district teachers and leadership. Function 5:Provide regular updates to project director and the state office and assist districts with associated data collection and reporting. Required QualificationsMaster's degree and at least six years of experience in a field related to the training assignments, including supervision, training, professional development, and classroom instruction. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred QualificationsDoctorate degree and four years of experience in a field related to the training assignments, including supervision, training, professional development, and classroom instruction. Salary Range$70,000 + depending on qualifications Working ConditionsMay work around standard office conditions with repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation. Required Materials
