Job Description We're hiring a Process Technology Engineer to join our Specialty Catalyst Process Technology team at our Baton Rouge, LA manufacturing site to provide scale-up and technical support for product development and commercialization. This position will focus on supporting the optimization and cost-savings efforts and leverage a candidates strong technical foundation and fundamental principles to solve complex problems. Responsibilities Ability to work safely in an industrial atmosphere and adopt a strong safety culture Develop and implement projects to increase plant productivity, decrease production costs, and improve overall Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)performance Work closely with process chemists to drive continuous improvement Provide support for production campaigns by conducting appropriate Process Hazards Analysis, compilation of technical documentation, and direct unit support Own commercialization process by completing technology transfers to drive products to routine operation Assist in troubleshooting requests from manufacturing team in support of commercial products Lead start-up and commissioning efforts or, as assigned, on larger projects Physical Requirements and Environment Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft. Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials Required Qualifications BS degree in Chemical Engineering Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience, or applicable internship/co-op experience Effective time management skills and detail-oriented High initiative and ability to learn Self-motivated and independent worker with willingness and ability to also perform in a team environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization Preferred Qualifications Master's degree Sig Sigma Certification or Basic statistical skills Experience with Minitab or other statistical software #WRGRACE Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Life Insurance and Disability Grace Wellness Program Flexible Workplace Retirement Plans 401(k) Company Match - Dollar to dollar up to the first 6% Paid Vacation and Holidays Parental Leave (salaried only) Tuition Reimbursement Company Donation Match Program Grace is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
