Crew Lead - Tree Care

Job Summary
As a General Tree Care Climber, you will leadof a crew that provides high quality tree care to our clients. You will be involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing and other concepts related to tree care. You'll be able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients.

This position pays up to $36 an hour based on experience plus a $500.00 sign on bonus for qualified talent. We also offer PTO, full benefits, and 401k

The General Tree Care team are the muscle of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients' landscapes.

What a day is like:

As a Crew Lead, you will be part of a crew that provides high quality tree care to our clients. You will be involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing and other concepts related to tree care. You'll be able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients.

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of tree workers, setting up job sites, assessing safety conditions, proper use of equipment and communication with clients.

What kind of person are we looking for:



  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper use of General Tree Care equipment
  • A leader with proven people and project management experience
  • Previous landscaping experience who can demonstrate proper lifting techniques and proper procedures for carrying and stacking brush on a client's property
  • Knowledge of common tree identification
  • Experience in aerial lift operations
  • Knowledge of two to three basic knots plus Weaver Knot, Clove Hitch Knot, and Gilhooligan Knot
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper pruning equipment including hand snips, pruner, pole saw etc.
  • Ability to ensure all safety procedures are followed


What is essential:



  • Willingness to complete required trainings to obtain needed certifications & licenses.
  • Desire to work outdoors
  • Valid Driver's license to operate service-line vehicles, CDL a plus
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
