The Advanced Demonstrations department provides engineering expertise on advanced communication systems within the Advanced Communications Delta at SSC, supporting exciting and high-value activities in a closed domain. This unique position will serve as a key member of the operations and sustainment team, directly supporting critical operations and sustainment support activities. This position is for a technical role within an integrated program office of Space Force government, Aerospace, and SE&I contractors.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Serving as a key contributor to the operations and sustainment efforts across the domain
  • Providing space vehicle technical support between the government acquisition office and a satellite operations center
  • Coordinating and leading sustainment activities across several contractors
  • Supporting on-going ground terminal sustainment efforts along with future enhancements and procurements
  • Assisting in solving and problem resolution across the domain
  • Ensuring technical coordination across key internal/external partners
  • Establishing and maintaining the confidence and trust of the government customer

What You Need to be Successful - Project Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physical science, mathematics, or related technical degree
  • 8 years of professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment
  • Experience building and maintaining effective interpersonal relations with internal and external organizations such as with customers, Aerospace, contractors, or related
  • Work integrally and effectively with the program office team and staff from external organizations
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
  • This position requires a current Top Secret/SSBI/SCI clearance to interview with the ability to obtain additional security clearances

What You Need to be Successful - Senior Project Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physical science, mathematics, or related technical degree
  • 12 years of professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment
  • Experience building and maintaining effective interpersonal relations with internal and external organizations such as with customers, Aerospace, contractors, or related
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating complex program activities
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
  • This position requires a current Top Secret/SSBI/SCI clearance to interview with the ability to obtain additional security clearances

How You Can Stand Out

  • Satellite operations support (including TT&C systems)
  • Experience in fielding and/or sustaining ground terminals
  • Work with information assurance compliance and cyber security requirements

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
