HX5 is currently seeking an Acquisition Program Management Professional at a Senior level to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment; formulate plans; and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and updating of acquisition reports such as the Monthly Acquisition Report (MAR), Selected Acquisition Report (SAR), Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Acquisition Program Baseline (APB), and supplemental reports as required by DoD policy for Acquisition Category (ACAT) I, ACAT II, and ACAT III programs IAW DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101, and AFPAM 63-128.
  • Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
  • Develop, maintain, and update program Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and IMS.
  • Analyze prime and subcontractor IMP/IMS.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program execution and review deliverable status together with milestone schedules, status reports, and cost performance reports; and analyze to determine the accuracy of information and situation depicted.
  • Support implementation and execution of Agile software development processes in concert with Government and weapon system prime contractors and suppliers.
  • Plan, evaluate and implement program acquisition strategies to meet DoD 5000.2 guidance.
  • Develop program management documentation to support all phases of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Prepare briefings, graphics and reports in direct support of the acquisition program management function.
  • Support development of draft RFP including systems specs, System Requirements Documents (SRD), SOO, SOW, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and other RFP products.
  • Develop Business Case Analyses (IAW AFI 65-509 and AFMAN 65-510, or tailored), trade studies, any/all DoDI 5000.02 acquisition milestone documents and briefings (including 2366a/b certification), program assessments, Analyses of Alternatives (AoA) study guidance, study plans and reports, programmatic Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), market research reports, Early Strategy and Issues Sessions (ESIS), and Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) briefings.
  • Assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, and shall recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree and twenty-five (25) years of professional experience; OR a Master's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:



  • This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.


Other Position Requirements:



  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
