Reports To: Vice President, Central Operations

Job Summary:

The Director of Risk Management and Quality Improvement has overall responsibility for guiding and supporting efforts in areas including development and implementation of an agency-wide Risk and Quality Improvement program. The plan addresses areas including organization and leadership of an agency-wide quality council, development of an agency quality plan, implementation of the quality plan in conjunction with agency leadership and oversight of Quality Improvement and Human Rights department functions and personnel. The plan incorporates risk identification and mitigation, key performance indicators, quality improvement project processes and information analysis and investigation, among other areas.

This is an exempt position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Quality Improvement and Human Rights staff members.

Essential Functions of Position:

Lead and manage:

* Development and implementation of agency Quality Improvement Plan
* Support and facilitate agency Quality Council
* Engage in Key Performance Indicator development with stakeholders
* Monitor and identify areas of improvement based on quality of life assessment, Human Rights, Complaints and Investigations processes and findings
* Conduct and support inclusive processes to gather input from service utilizers and other stakeholders and oversee, support and participate in the planning of agency activities
* Develop and implement processes to support adherence to external and internal Requirements (contract terms, statutes and regulations, accreditation standards, etc.)
* Initiate Quality improvement Projects in response to any of the above or other events or circumstances
* Risk Avoidance and Mitigation is conducted, based on objective and other indicators of performance and indicators of strategic, compliance, financial or operational risks

* Ensure that training and other support is in place to achieve the identified outcomes

Requirements for the Position:

* Master's degree in related field preferred. Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience may be substituted.
* Minimum ten years of work experience in development and operations of health or
human services programming, with QI experience preferred.
* An understanding of and commitment to the mission of an agency serving a largely disadvantaged population experiencing increased rates of poverty, violence, incarceration and addiction.
* A commitment to embracing principles of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and supporting a highly diverse client base and workforce, continually seeking to support the development of individuals' ability to access and utilize resources and opportunities and improve one's quality of life.
* High proficiency in the use of software tools to collect, analyze and report relevant data, experience in Google suite preferred
* An acceptable CORI (criminal record assessment).
* Demonstrated knowledge of QI and Human Rights principles.
* Professional documentation and communication skills.
* Demonstrated organizational skills.
* Adequate computer literacy to perform agency functions.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on an as needed basis.
