We are currently hiring a Environmental Compliance Manager in Breinigsville, PA. *A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams' weekly schedule. The Environmental Compliance Manager (ECM) will manage and guide BBC operations in the areas of environmental compliance, policy deployment, and adherence to existing and emerging regulations. What You'll Brew:
- Manage environmental compliance programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws while also maintaining conformance with corporate requirements.
- Lead environmental initiatives and execute programs on all environmental matters.
- Resolve environmental issues raised by regulatory agencies and communities in which we operate.
- Establish and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with local, state and federal regulators
- Manage the work assigned to environmental consultants; budget for the work and oversee the delivery of said work
- Provide strategic technical guidance and environmental permitting support to the business to enable the achievement of business objectives, including management of the permitting process through regulatory agencies.
- Have a working knowledge of applicable regulations including, CAA, CWA, OPA, RCRA, NPDES, SWPPP, SPCC, DOT, HAZMAT, etc...
- Manage environmental compliance audits and carry the findings and specific audit actions to closure.
- Respond to or support the response to environmental claims such as lawsuits, complaints, and Notices of Violation.
- Development and implementation of a written compliance plan that shall include policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations at each facility

- Frequent travel (25%) throughout our network of locations, with specific focus on locations in PA, OH, DE.

What Ingredients You'll Bring: Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in Environmental Health & Safety, engineering or science required
- 8+ years of experience manufacturing industry
- Direct experience with Air Permitting, Wastewater management, spill control, RCRA
- High technical proficiency in the comprehension and application of the applicable regulatory resources and requirements associated with environmental compliance and sustainability
- Proficiency communicating regulations, risk management, and risk assessment skills
- Proficiency in environmental compliance auditing, incident investigation, and documentation techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
