We're currently searching for an Office Assistant to join our Services for Students with Disabilities team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. So, if you're passionate about providing outstanding service to students, please keep reading.

Here's what you need to know about the role:
* You'll be providing general assistance with day-to-day operations and special programs for the Administrative office and the Werth Testing Center which includes fulfilling reception desk duties and covering absences at the front desk as needed.
* You'll be working with office staff and the Werth Testing Center coordinator on a daily basis to provide support and assistance for delivery of accommodations to students.
* You'll manage paper and electronic files and records.
* You'll process student accommodation and testing requests.
* You'll be offered an hourly rate of $14.00 per hour, along with access to .

Required Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience providing programmatic support and office duties in a complex organization.
* Proficient utilization of various software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
* Demonstrated experience with data entry, handling and filing documents, scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
* Experience multitasking with attention to detail.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Experience handling confidential materials.
* Demonstrated customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate Degree in business, human services or related field and/or equivalent related experience.
* Knowledge of FERPA guidelines.
* Previous experience working in an administrative position in a higher education setting.
* Experience using and working knowledge of higher education database systems such as Banner.
