Compensation Analyst

I: Job Summary

This position is responsible for analysis, and administration of compensation program. These activities include analyzing complex data, manage base pay, short-term and long-term incentive programs, administer existing processes, support clients

II: Responsibilities



  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Reviewing a wide range of relevant compensation data to ensure the company's remuneration policies are competitive.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Conducts data and cost analyses.
  • Administers existing compensation programs.
  • Assists managing the annual compensation cycle.
  • Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, and compensation policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

III: Education, Experience & Skills



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources.
  • Minimum 5 years prior Compensation, Human Resources, or similar experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of analytical and data manipulation experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Strong skill in MS Outlook, Word, and particularly Excel (ability to run pivots, v-lookups, and other mid to complex formulas)
