Nestle USA (NUSA) has an opening for a high-visibility Project Management role within the Nestle Sales Organization (NSO) responsible for executing top priority projects and strategic initiatives within an industry leading company focused on accelerating sustainable growth. The NSO Project Management Office maximizes value realization for the organization by disseminating a pragmatic project management mindset to proactively simplify, optimize, and accelerate projects, decisions, and actions.

The dynamic nature of the role involves working across a wide variety of projects, functions, stakeholders, and business units to provide Project Management expertise that drives integration, re-engineering, and growth initiatives. The fundamental goal of the team is to deliver projects on time, on budget, and within scope, but also to the full commercial value of the project to meet or exceed investment business case. Aside from disciplined project management, the role is centered around augmented business partnership with all NSO Pillars (Execute, Sell, Create, and Enable) to quickly make better decisions around business optimization and transformation efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Quality: PMs are evaluated on how their project contributions positively impacted the business and delivered full value (to include business acceptance and change management).
  • Build Business Acumen: PMs have expansive business knowledge that helps contextualize and unlock greater project impacts or match existing skills to business needs.
  • Optimize Time: Make optimal use of time to accelerate projects and free up functional SMEs' bandwidth.
  • Support Through Insights & Analysis: Help the business move through obstacles by identifying and mitigating risk to future project value or business growth and providing the supporting analysis within the overall suggested decision-making framework.
  • Manage Stakeholders: Act as the leader and conduit of information to Leadership by bring a forward-focused and problem-solving mindset to leadership updates.
  • Ensure Collaboration: Coordinate across the organization to realize efficiencies, raise awareness of interdependencies, facilitate handoffs, and create connectivity across people and projects.
  • Establish Governance: Implement a robust governance structure facilitate appropriate communication of progress, risks, and escalations to Leadership, Project Stakeholders, and the broader Organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Accelerate the discovery and implementation of key learnings to allow for continuous improvement.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • PMP Certification, Agile/Scrum Certification, Change Management Certification strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive and diverse experience leading complex and cross functional projects, initiatives, or teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% based on project need in rare circumstances with expected travel to be around 10%
  • Prior experience embedding yourself in key business areas to serve as a business partner or trusted advisor with the ability to express complex matters in simple to understand terms.
  • Ability to apply tailored Project Management and Change Management principles (ex: Waterfall, Scrum, ADKAR, etc.)
  • Exceptional leader with the ability to influence Upwards, Downwards, and Sideways; often without formal authority.
  • Must have high integrity, be fast learner, have a high degree of curiosity to understand all project details.
  • Strong problem analysis skills coupled with the ability to quickly make sound judgements and decisions while managing concurrent workstreams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that result in effective coordination, teamwork, shared knowledge, and ideas
  • Must have outstanding planning and organizing skills coupled with the ability to embrace ambiguity, change, and shifting priorities.
  • Achieve results through individual project contributions as well as getting work done through subordinates, project teams SMEs, external vendors, peers, and cross functional staff.
  • Have strong initiative as a self-starter who acts with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence.
  • Possess the ability to think strategically and conceptually in developing creative solutions while maintaining the operational rigor and detail orientation to effectively implement complex plans.
  • Ability to lead in a remote working environment with the flexibility to work around different time zones.
