Requisition Summary

Provide high quality, relevant and effective training curriculum for Peterbilt dealership personnel that contributes to the success of our dealers and customers. Develop training that is uniquely Peterbilt and reflects the caliber of the products we manufacture and the dealer network we support.Collaborate with Peterbilt Instructors, Field Service, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure our training content is accurate.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Training Content Development: Work with dealers, dealer development, field service, customer service, program management, and engineering to identify and develop training to meet the needs of dealership personnel in managing Peterbilt dealerships and servicing Peterbilt vehicles and PACCAR engines. This includes classroom, recorded and live web-based training, videos, workbooks, and other training methods for most effectively providing tangible skills needed for dealership personnel in the performance of their jobs.
  • Training Content Management and Organization: Manage the curriculum development process for new training programs, update existing training content to ensure it is current and relevant, develop and maintain the department's processes and procedures, and oversee the organization and storage of the department's training content.
  • Online Training: Develop and publish interactive on-demand and live online training. This includes recording, editing, graphic design, video, and photography.
Job Functions / Responsibilities cont.
  • Classroom Training: Develop content for classroom training including workbooks, hands-on activities, exams, instructor guides, class checklists, and e-library materials. Adjust content and materials for continuous improvement.
  • Master Service Professional Publication: Manage the content and development of the Peterbilt quarterly service department newsletter and workbook program. This includes identifying, writing articles, and editing content for print and online distribution.
  • Learning Management System Management and Administration: Work with an outside vendor to manage the training content of the Peterbilt Dealer Academy Learning Management System. Manage the design/layout, content, and reporting associated with the Dealer Academy.
  • Perform miscellaneous project work and other duties as assigned.
Skills / Competencies
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing, designing, and delivering technical training content. Heavy truck, automotive, or heavy equipment experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including creation and delivery of presentations and training programs.
  • Strong understanding of trucking/automotive industry, dealerships and/or supplier networks.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively interface with Subject Matter Experts across multiple departments and Peterbilt management.
Skills / Competencies cont.
  • Experience in computer-based training development using products to include Articulate Storyline and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and others.
  • Strong PC skills to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Attitude of continuous improvement and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Spanish and/or French language both oral and written a plus.
  • Approximately 25% travel.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Business, Marketing/Communications, or Education required. Focus in Adult Education and/or Technical Education preferred.
