Requisition Summary

This position will be responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory within the maintenance department to ensure uptime of the equipment remains above 99% and inventory accuracy is greater than 98%. They will be an integral part of maintenance team by ensuring part costs are competitive and ensuring parts are readily available when needed. Finally, the position will support special facility related projects, equipment breakdowns and tooling repairs.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is primarily responsible for spare parts management, tooling repairs and facility project support.
  • Perform the daily tasks of ordering spare parts based upon the SAP criteria for the E-parts system.
  • Maintain the inventory of non E-parts ordered through SAP for consumable supplies for the maintenance and engineering team.
  • Request multiple quotes from vendors to reduce overall costs and stay within allocated budget.
  • Work with the engineer department to determine the spare part requirements on any new capital projects.
  • Diagnose and repair production tooling and test calibration.
  • This position will help manage contractors and normally scheduled contract services provided for the facility.
  • Successful candidates should be able to resolve daily Facility issues and act as point of contact for identification and resolution of Facility concerns.
  • Successful candidates should be able to understand SAP and how to utilize for potential impact on daily responsible duties and or activities.
  • Successful candidates should be able to recommend Facility and/or system changes to enhance safety/productivity/quality.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must be able to operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environment.
  • Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of SAP MRO/BPO and Warehouse Management systems.
  • Candidates will lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance, dependability and safety.
  • Candidate must be self motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation.
  • Computer literacy is required with a familiarity with SAP, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
Education
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • MRO & BPO Systems
  • Candidate must have the flexibility to work evening shift and weekends.
