Position Summary |
This position is a highly responsible avian technician position based out of the Savannah River Ecology Lab (
SREL). The incumbent is responsible for assisting a current University of Georgia PhD student with avian field research on location at two southeastern airports. The technician will be assisting with the capture, trapping, and handling of various raptor, vulture, and wading bird species for
GPS unit attachment. The technician will also be responsible for conducting avian point count surveys by sight and sound on airport property. Responsibilities may also include performing routine maintenance for research equipment and helping with other research-related activities as requested. |
