Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, view multiple computer screens without difficulty, lift/push/pull objects up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday with core hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.; and this position may be expected to work outside these hours, if necessary, to accomplish tasks and objectives.
Job Summary
In partnership, UK Public Relations and UK Police are seeking an Associate Director of Strategic Communication to assist with content development and editing, media relations, website and social media management and public relations as it relates to the UK community.

The major job responsibilities include research, writing, and editing strategic communication content for top administrators; as well as media relations and website management for UK executives. This position will also be responsible for UK Public Relations as it relates to community outreach, crisis communications, social media content and creation, and website management.

This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ( CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
