Job DescriptionResponsibilities: Obtains electroencephalographic tracings and measurements of the brain function with a maximum understanding of the brain function and of the patient's pathological condition and physical characteristics to optimize the exam in addition to the provision of multimodality evoked potential testing. Qualifications: Completion of an AMA approved course of study in electroencephalography. Certification as a Registered Electroencephalographic technician or eligible for registry. BCLS required.

Qualifications

Education & Training: Completion of an AMA approved course of study in electroencephalography. Certification as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist or eligible for registry. BCLS certification required.

Work Orientation & Experience: Prior experience in the field of electroencephalography with experience in performance of Evoked Potential testing preferred.

Skills & Abilities: Must have the ability to: a) convey effective verbal and written information; b) respond to emergency situations appropriately; c) relate positively with and reassure patients; d) maintain discretion with patients; e) organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities; f) make independent decisions consistent with current policies and procedures; g) communicate effectively, projecting a positive image of the organization in support of the Service Excellence expectations; h) adapt hours of availability to variable needs of the care setting; and i) effectively function as a member of a collaborative team.
