1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am -5:00pm

As the Internal Communications Coordinator, you will help plan, write, develop, design and execute internal communications for employees, ensuring they are well informed of company news and events, and are invested in the organization's mission and values. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Write and coordinate effective communications to support internal communications programs, projects and initiatives
  • Partner with business leaders to research and write copy for posters, signage, talking points and internal communication.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, proofing and quality assurance
  • Report and communicate project statuses to the Manager and Associate Director of HR
  • Coordinate the design, production and distribution of communications resources, including printed collateral, training materials, newsletters and PowerPoint presentations
  • Resolve issues, identify alternatives and make appropriate recommendations to ensure project success
  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes a variety of internal communication channels
  • Partner with on-site leadership to support community engagement initiatives and ensure these opportunities maximize investment of time and resources and are promoted through social media outlets
  • Develop and execute innovative local marketing strategies for talent attraction and brand awareness
  • Maintain cross-functional internal partnerships with digital, communications and creative teams
  • Manage the design and creation of onboarding, training and recruitment collateral that is engaging and that generates excitement for the GXO brand and customer relationship
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to GXO brand standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree, 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Creative Cloud

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field
  • 1 year of internal communications experience in an agency or corporate setting
  • 1 year of social media management or related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience working with outside vendors
  • Graphic design, photography and videography capabilities
  • Experience communicating with employees at all levels
  • Familiarity with both electronic and print media, with an aptitude for electronic media
  • Excellent organizational, editing, proofreading and research skills
  • Familiarity with Diversity & Inclusion attraction strategies
  • Solid attention to detail
