Summary: Responsible for document collection, review and analysis and providing service and assistance to Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers. Assemble loan files, develop needs lists, engage and track orders for third party reports, assist Portfolio Managers in clearing pre-funding conditions, coordinating closings, disbursing loan proceeds and funding loans.
Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Work with Loan Officer in preparing loan documents for closing of commercial loans, but not limited to C&I, Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Construction loans, assuring the completeness of the documents and their compliance with applicable regulations. Prepare various documents such as loan, collateral and disclosure forms including documentation for installment loans. Prepare loan documents, notices and periodic loan reports.
  • Follow up with Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers as required for loan file completion and resolve documentation exceptions with a sense of urgency.
  • Order and track appraisals, environmental site assessments, physical inspection reports, preliminary title reports and other third-party reports to ensure timely receipt.
  • Assist Portfolio Managers in clearing pre-funding conditions.
  • Provide files to the funding desk for pre-funding approval.
  • Coordinate final preparation of loan documents and closing procedures with title officers and closing attorneys.
  • Review construction budget and construction approval provided by Portfolio Manager and ensure the correct construction escrow amount is being used on settlement statement.
  • Coordinate settlement statements with title and verify cash to close requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-closing file reviews and facilitate approvals to close. Prepare write instructions and coordinate disbursement of loan proceeds.
  • Receive and audit executed closing documents.
  • Follow up as required to obtain title insurance policies, recorded mortgage and other security instruments and other post-closing documents. Monitor expiration dates of financial statements and insurance coverage for loan files.
  • Prepare loan boarding input documents for servicing.
  • Transmit completed and original files to Credit Administration.
  • Assist Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers in developing loan packages or materials for presentation to other Loan Officers or the Loan Committee.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding customer loan information.
  • Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Keep informed of industry trends.

Education/Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent and one year of banking experience.
  • Five years' experience in a commercial real estate lending or loan brokerage firm supporting Credit, Processing and/or origination.

  • Ability to use internet browsers and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.
