The Associate Director of Development is a member of the University Advancement team and reports to the Associate Vice President of Advancement. The Associate Director is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts from individuals major gift prospects and donors during an ambitious comprehensive campaign. It is anticipated that the Associate Director will provide specific focus on the College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering, and Design, and will take on other fundraising priorities as necessary. The Associate Director of Development plans, manages, and directs development efforts in concert with University Advancement goals and will collaborate with the appropriate University Advancement staff for various projects and events. These efforts support and implement programmatic initiatives, capital projects, academic/athletic departments, and student support. The Associate Director will develop and maintain a fundraising strategy that is in alignment with University Advancement's fundraising priorities, which supports the University's strategic plan. Duties & Responsibilities * Have working knowledge of the MSU Denver Foundation and development policies and procedures; ensure proper database records and documentation for prospects, gifts, and proposals. Track activities, create contact reports, prepare and/or approve briefing sheets. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications * Experience securing major gifts by strategically managing a portfolio and fostering meaningful relationships.
