The Department of Social Work at the Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applicants for a full time Clinical Field Faculty position with a focus on teaching and administration in field education, primarily assigned to the MSW Program. MSU Denver's Department of Social Work prides itself on a richly talented faculty comprised of teacher-scholars who are highly dedicated to support students in growing as social work scholars, practitioners, and leaders in the multitude of settings. MSU Denver faculty have expertise in culturally responsive practice that is relationally based. Applicants with expertise in social work and related field education and extensive experience in social work practice are encouraged to apply. Position will begin immediately to be established for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year. We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups. MSU Denver's student population consists of nearly 50% first generation students and over 45% students of color. We are a designated Hispanic Serving Institution located in beautiful downtown Denver. As the third largest institution of higher education in Colorado and the only one with an open access mission, MSU Denver is a model university for today's college students. Non-Teaching Responsibilities: This position will have a reduced teaching load of 12 semester credits of reassigned time per academic year, in addition to either half time or full-time work in the summer months (to be determined based on department need and candidate availability), to focus on the following:

Salary for Announcement The salary range for this position is $53,000 - $58,000 at Instructor level. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training. This is a 9-month faculty position with a required summer administrative load that is separately compensated.
