Base Pay Range: $132,800.00 - $225,800.00 Primary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits identified below. Preferred Qualifications:

Are you a leader in software domain? If so, we want you to join our team here at our AI and Modeling Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor! This position involves working with collaborators across multiple KLA products to develop innovative software solutions in a sophisticated product domain. The role provides exciting technical challenges as well as plenty of opportunities for leadership and collaboration with innovative software and algorithms teams across KLA!

KLA makes various products that combine very high-speed imaging, up to 50 GBps, with high performance image processing. Our software engineers work on software that control the imaging process, as well as the software to manage high bandwidth and high-volume data or image processing.

Key skills vital in this role:

  • Building and maintaining partnerships with key collaborators outside your own reporting organization
  • A natural curiosity and a dedication to lifelong learning is a significant ingredient for a successful engineer in this position
  • Quickly understand sophisticated products and the software requirements associated with them to translate them into tangible and clear definitions of software
  • Work with upbeat teams in an encouraging leadership and mentoring capacity to develop and deliver software products
  • Partner with technical program managers, software configuration management and software quality assurance to make work for the team more efficient
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for software development in the team

Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidate should possess a MS or PhD Degree and 7 years industry experience in Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or related other fields of study
  • Hands on experience with C or C++ on a Linux system
  • Proven experience with higher level programming language C#, Python or Java
  • Proven experience with GPU
  • Writing software codes for hardware integration is a plus, but not required.
  • Expertise in object orientated programming concepts
  • Prior history of architecting sophisticated software systems and ability to provide critical feedback on architecture and design of new systems.
  • Experience working with High Performance Computing (HPC)

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 5 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 12 years
