Position Announcement

Utah Tech University is seeking a dynamic, experienced individual with integrity and a history of success to lead our Women's Soccer program within the Western Athletic Conference and NCAA Division I level play. We seek an individual who is committed to developing the entire student-athlete, both on and off the field, maximizing each one's full potential. Additionally, we are seeking a coach who will embrace the Utah Tech University and Athletic Department values by leading with professionalism, positivity, integrity, and passion, and the ability to inspire and mentor his or her staff and our student-athletes as we prepare them for a lifetime of impact. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the academic, personal, and athletic development of student-athletes at Utah Tech University by directing and coordinating all activities of the Women's Soccer program, in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the NCAA Division I team.
  • Hire, supervise, and direct all part-time and volunteer assistants in proper function and assignments. Ensure compliance by all Women's Soccer staff of all University, Western Athletic Conference, and NCAA procedures and regulations.
  • Monitor academic progress and general welfare/wellness of student-athletes.
  • Initiate Women's Soccer team-specific fund-raising programs. Determine fiscal requirements and recommend budget to athletic administration. Support fund raising responsibilities within the athletic department and be an active member of the Southern Utah community.
  • Direct UT's Women's Soccer Camps (additional compensation available).
  • Purchase and maintain equipment and inspect practice facilities and equipment regularly.
  • Schedule and coordinate all Women's Soccer games through proper channels in the Athletic Department.
  • Guide and supervise student-athletes related to campus regulations. Responsible for athletic competition credit. Coordinate medical coverage with Athletic Training staff.
  • Provide reports and information concerning the Women's Soccer program as required. Provide information, results, and statistics to the Sports Information Director for press coverage, brochures, media guides and tournament schedules as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Must have a proven record of graduating student-athletes.
  • Minimum of five years NCAA head coach or assistant soccer coaching experience required.
  • Demonstrated success of recruiting students at the NCAA level.
  • Proven commitment to academic and athletic success.
  • Ability to represent the University in exercising good human relation skills in the community and state.
  • Proven ability to perform fund-raising for team and department needs.
  • Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Supplemental Information

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time Athletic Coach position, as defined by University Policy 328. Annual salary commensurate upon qualifications & experience. Desired start date of July/August 2023.
