Position Summary:

As the Maintenance Manager you will report to the Site Production Director and will oversee equipment maintenance for a 3-shift manufacturing operation. You will be responsible to drive equipment reliability in all facilities and manufacturing equipment through the proper application of Maintenance Systems to include Preventative Maintenance Program, Store Room Management, Kitting, Root Cause Analysis of Failures and Planning and Scheduling Routines. In this role, the Maintenance Manager will work closely in the execution and startup of Engineering Projects. This position is an important link between Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations functions and therefore leadership and communication skills are key requirement for this role. This change-agent will provide guidance on process improvement initiatives in alignment with TPM principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coaching, mentorand develop20-25 maintenance team members tofoster a strong team culture and encourage onwership of results.

  • Coordinate the efforts of Maintenance personnel to insure equipment is available and working effectively so that Production meets or exceeds their goals. Delegate tasks, instruct and monitor the performance of department personnel.

  • Insure proper processes and procedures are followed for preventative and repair service, equipment installations, tool and consumables ordering, issue to and return from employees, equipment inspections and repair service contractor activities.

  • Promote open and timely communication with Production personnel regarding potential equipment and compliance issues.

  • Provide appropriate support with the right level of urgency to ensure Production goals are met.

  • Assess skill levels for Maintenance personnel and define training plans to close the gaps. As well as monitor training execution and effectiveness.

  • Follow all regulatory processes to include proper Hazardous Waste Management as well as OSHA requirements.

  • Ensure all Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed at all times.

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairs when needed.

  • Provide on-call / on-site support for emergency situations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred, Engineering related field strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of proven production or manufacturing maintenance experience in lieu of degree.

  • 5+ years of proven leadership/management experience required.

  • Knowledge of facilities operations with production environment to include air handlers, HVAC andplumbing

  • Expertise with Mechanical and Electrical Machine Troubleshooting, Repair and Preventive Maintenance

  • Proven ability to lead, coach and mentora technical team.

  • Strong communication and project management skills required

  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills

  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills that encompass Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP applications (i.e. SAP)
