We are currently seeking a Mainframe Rehosting Specialistto join our team remotely in the United States.

As a Mainframe Rehosting Specialist, you will develop and execute solutions to digitally transform Mainframe applications. Understanding both legacy and cutting-edge technologies, you will solicit needs from the client and figure out how to efficiently perform this migration while still allowing clients to conduct mission critical business.

Why the Role Is Important:

Many of our clients' most important applications still reside on legacy systems, creating waste and inefficiency. You will help eliminate these and provide additional value to our clients by harnessing modern technology and your technical expertise.

Once You Are Here, You Will:

• Migrate customer's Mainframe applications to NTT DATA's Unikix based solution (rehosting).
• Migrate Customer's Mainframe systems to AWS or the Azure Cloud based on customer needs.
• Coach and mentor the transformation of applications, using modern technologies, frameworks and test strategies.
• Lead projects or offer programming solutions at an advanced level
• Travel as needed for project assignments (less than 20%)

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years' experience using mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, etc. to implement rehosting solutions for a mainframe application

Preferred Experience:

• 6+ years' experience using Unikix and/or Microfocus
• 6+ years' experience with CLIST, REXX, PL/1, Easytrieve and/or Assembler
• Bachelor's degreein Computer Science,Business, or equivalent
• Application modernization -architect and design modernized systems with new technologies
• Ability to identify code patterns and understand coding strategies
• Linux

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $95,400- $194,300. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
