The mechanical QC inspector will be responsible to ensure purchased and manufactured parts meet all quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements in order to deliver product with the highest quality levels.

As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for:

  • Complying with all HSE and Quality procedures and policies.
  • Inspecting parts, assemblies, subassemblies and test reports / certifications to drawings and specifications. Distributes all quality records and documents as required
  • Using mechanical inspection tool (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, Go/No-Go Functional gauges, precision pin and ring gauges, scales, tapes, straight-edges, inspection set-up, etc..) along with advanced inspection equipment
  • Understanding mechanical assemblies and gauging
  • Leading and facilitating inspection priorities and cross training
  • Ability to review test data supplied by outside vendors and internal inspections
  • Reading, Understanding, Interpreting, and applies mechanical assembly drawing.
  • Initiate's non-conformance reports (NCR) on all nonconforming parts and assemblies. Ensure that parts meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements
  • Initiates corrective action requests (CAR) when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature
  • Performing specialized testing as required (i.e Helium Leak Test, XRF, etc...)
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to implement improvements
  • Participating in Quality System and Process audits
  • Maintaining and ensures proper calibration of Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Associate Degree in a related discipline.
  • OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution AND Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical inspection
