The Director, Revenue Cycle Process functions as an expert in examining the critical factors impacting the Accuity chart lifecycle and supports procedures to ensure all accounts are addressed per SLA to minimize the impact to client DNFB.

This position is responsible for internal monitoring, reporting, and communicating Accuity turn-around-times that directly impact client final billing. This position supports the work of the operational teams to determine how best to achieve consistent, high-quality, timely, and efficient delivery within our operational functional areas completing required tasks that affect overall chart turn-around-time. This role requires strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and motivational skills consistent with successful change management and innovation deployment. The Director is a change agent, results-driven, and maintains focus on effective implementation and sustainment of operational change.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise staff responsible for DNFB activities, providing feedback, support, and training.
  • Define clear guidelines for tasks, including expected completion times and escalation procedures to ensure timely chart completion.

  3. queries are sent to providers within 96 hours (4 days) from receipt
  • Measure key data metrics to track the effectiveness of DNFB initiatives and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Operational functional areas to resolve any discrepancies or workflow issues causing a delay in final chart completion.
  • Monitor and review daily DNFB and internal backlog reports to ensure all accounts are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner to minimize client DNFB.
  • Implement regular monitoring of the DNFB process to track progress, identify any deviations from the standard, and implement corrective action working with Operational functional areas.
  • Develop comprehensive DNFB monitoring client centric dashboards for internal reporting to capture data trends for Accuity client base to ensure service level TAT
  • Responsible for training, reconciling, and monitoring data entry edits to ensure timely and accurate client reporting.
  • Educate and follow up on trends for data integrity edit issues with affected Operational functional areas.
  • Coordinate with Operational leadership and IT for process and/or tool enhancement opportunities to improve overall data entry integrity.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate's Degree Health Information Management or related field, required
  • Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management or related field, preferred

Experience:

  • 4+Years Inpatient Revenue Cycle/HIM Experience, required
  • 2+ years of experience in data management, data analysis, or data quality assurance; experience in healthcare preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of billing systems, EHRs, and electronic claims submission processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, manage, and identify issue, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ability to handle change without compromising goals and objectives
  • Ability to align objectives with broader organizational goals and objectives
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously meeting time constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team, build trust and set goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including with senior management, colleagues and employees.
  • Able to present complex data in a meaningful method, i.e., charts, graphs, etc.
  • Ability to quickly analyze complex situations and make informed and effective decisions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment
  • Focused individual able to work independently in a remote environment
