Job Description:

A Technical Writer will partner with scrum teams, product management, architects, and product trainers to craft and refine technical documentation. The role will be to create documentation to support users in the operation of Crowe Healthcare's Azure product suite. To do this you will build strong working relationships with the cross-functional product development areas of the company. You must have a hands-on approach to technology and to the products being documented.

The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for a diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to establish a comprehensive technical documentation strategy, encompassing process improvement, tooling selection, and prioritization efforts, to meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Design and write technical documentation illustrations as needed to facilitate understanding of technical material and upon customer request
  • Translate technical information into clear, concise, and effective documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Establish a technical documentation competency with the engineering group
  • An understanding of the documentation development life cycle (DDC)
  • Document new functionality and prepare release notes in line with individual product release cycle
  • The ability to write clearly, accurately, and with attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical writing role
  • 2+ years experience working in and Agile Scrum environment writing technical documentation for the software product, application, and product releases a plus
  • Experience in understanding and communicating all technical aspects of a software product to both highly technical and non-technical users
  • Experience in developing technical documentation and education materials to support user experience (user guides, integration guides, installation/configuration instructions, developer guides)
  • Experience creating API documentation, Release Notes, and Plugin documentation a plus
  • Familiarity with code structure a plus
