Specialist, Metcalf Institute Programs

Position location:  Kingston

Salary range: $50,820 - $76,151

Position is full time calendar year, limited to 06-29-2025 with anticipated renewal.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Enact strategies to support Metcalf Institute’s goal of centering equity, inclusion, and intersectional perspectives in science communication. Develop, implement, and evaluate professional development sessions and fee-based training programs for students and professionals that support Metcalf Institute’s inclusive science communication work. Lead organization of biennial Inclusive SciComm Symposium. Build and sustain strong working relationships with Metcalf Institute partners within URI and externally. Develop new partnerships and collaborate with partners to support and expand the global Inclusive SciComm community of practice.
