Job Summary

The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position (Academic Professional track) in Neuroscience, beginning August 1, 2023. The position is dedicated to the Undergraduate Degree Program in Neuroscience, with primary responsibilities for course and curriculum development, laboratory coordination, student advising, teaching, and supervision of graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants. This position vacancy is an open rank announcement in the Academic Professional track in the School of Biological Sciences. The final job offer will be dependent on candidate qualifications in alignment with Non-tenure Track Academic Faculty ranks as outlined in section 3.2.2 of the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook ().

Required Qualifications

This is an open-rank search. Final rank will be determined commensurate with education and experience. For all ranks, a PhD in Neuroscience or a closely related field is required. Additionally, broad knowledge of cell/molecular, systems, and/or behavioral neuroscience together with experience as instructor of record teaching multiple undergraduate courses in neuroscience or related fields is required.

For rank of Academic Professional: Significant related experience or promotion from the rank of Associate Academic Professional; Quality of performance and potential development must be recognized by peers.

For rank of Senior Academic Professional: Evidence of superior performance in the chosen field; Recognition by peers (whether national, regional, or local); Successful and measurable related experience; Five (5) years or more as an Academic Professional.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have a strong interest in innovative instruction at the level of undergraduate and master's degrees.
