Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist.

Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from health care conditions such as stroke, brain injury and musculoskeletal disorders. The only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

We provide patient-centered inpatient rehabilitation services, partnering with patents, families and caregivers to make sure patients achieve their best functional outcome and return to an improved quality of life and health.

Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital's Inpatient Therapy Department is comprised of six interdisciplinary clinic sites throughout the greater Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide 1:1 hour long treatment sessions and offer a variety of specialty services and programs. Responsibilities

Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of varied diagnoses to design and establish individualized therapeutic treatment plans
  • Provision of dedicated treatment interventions with revision of treatment program, as appropriate
  • Participation in therapeutic team framework with utilization and supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary team
  • Completion of documentation in a timely manner while adhering to all applicable policies and procedures
  • Responsible for organizing and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to individuals with developmental, physical, cognitive and/or emotional impairments, disabilities and/or handicaps to assist in reaching optimal function within their physical limitations.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Desired: Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  • Ability to communicate effectively and finish tasks in a timely manner;
  • Ability to follow oral and written instruction and established procedures
  • Minimum: No directly related experience
  • Preferred: One (1) year related experience
  • Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Physical Therapy in State of NM; CPR
  • New Graduates will be considered
