Position Type: Community Education/Referee Date Posted: 7/11/2023 Location: Minnetonka Community Education Date Available: December 2023 Closing Date: open until filled Assignment: 2-6 games per week on Saturdays starting December 2, 2023 through February 25, 2024. Must be able to attend referee training on Sunday, November 12 at 6:00pm Wages: Starting at $15.00 per game. Additional $100 stipend for referees that work 25 games Additional $100 stipend for referees that work 50 games Primary Objective of Position: To assist in officiating MCE youth basketball games for grades 3-5 Job Responsibilities: To referee youth basketball games in a safe and respectful manner. To ensure the proper use and care of the facilities and equipment used. To enforce safety rules and take disciplinary action when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of the sport of basketball Ability to work with groups of students and adults. Ability to communicate effectively with the public. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Experience playing and/or officiating basketball Must be at least 14 years of age. Must attend required trainings
