Summary The Program Planning "BKM" (Demand / Capacity Management) Specialist is responsible to manage the proactive analysis of supplier part capacity vs. Volkswagen demands. The goal of this role is to identify and resolve any supply bottlenecks through cross functional coordination between Purchasing, Quality and Technical Development. To develop, improve, and monitor performance indicators that act as early warning to ensure a stable production order flow. Key user for program planning and demand/capacity management systems. Responsibilities Present demand vs capacity KPI reports to management and in escalation meetings Effectively create and communicate BKM topics within logistics and purchasing as well and keep up with regular production schedules capacity constraints Key interface between Manufacturing, Material Planning, and Purchasing to ensure capacity issues are identified and solved Track follow-ups between supplier, logistics and purchasing Configure all program planning and production control systems in advance of the SOP Active participation in global, regional allocation meetings - mostly in Germany Effectively communicate the VW Chattanooga demand requirements vs the allocation or supplier capacities Identify Bill of Material, Forecasting mistakes which could cause under supply situations Develop, monitor and improve KPI's Revise, control and distribute technical information including car configurations list per VW standards. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Professional experience with demand & capacity management Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Automotive Experience Project ManagementExperience Strong Mathematics Skills Proficient in MS Office software with a focus in Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas / Macros) Strong attention to detail Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Ability to think critically, using logic and reasoning to identify solutions and approaches to problems Ability to cooperate with different departments in a positive manner German Language Skills strongly preferred Preferred 3+years of Automotive Manufacturing Experience Master's Degree Quality Management Systems Advanced Reporting - VBA, Macros, Business Objects, Tableau Program Planning Systems -EPL, FPL, IFA, FIS, MBV, MBT, INCA, autoBKM, KbM Scope and Magnitude This role description is a guideline and does not create contractual rights between the Company and any of its employees.
