Summary

Deploy and maintain the equipment, processes and functions of VW Torque Tightening Systems in the manufacturing shops. Troubleshoot any problems that may arise in the manufacturing shops as a result of this specialized tooling and provide feedback to management during the work shift. Technical oversight of torque cage including calibration and repairs during the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain VW torque tightening equipment to the Manufacturing Shops

    • Deploying and maintain all types of torque equipment
    • Perform basic level of joint analysis - using software and other tools
    • Escalate on shift cross departmental support for torque topics


  • Training and technical oversight of on-shift torque team

    • Repair and replacement of tools
    • Troubleshoot torque audit findings on shift
    • Provide second level support of torque process troubleshooting
    • Maintain calibration on shift


  • Troubleshoot all line calls of related to the setup, installation and commissioning of VW torque tightening equipment from the Manufacturing Shops
  • Prepare Daily/Weekly Reports for Management
  • Communicate with all levels of Management on the shift regarding VW torque tightening equipment in the Manufacturing Shop
  • Series and ongoing Synatec Torque Configuration software changes

Qualifications

Required:



  • 1+ years of experience with VW Torque systems setup, installation and commissioning
  • High School Diploma
  • Photo / Graphic Writer Knowledge
  • Mechanical background
  • Work schedule - 2nd / 3rd shift


Preferred



  • Advanced Technical Skills / Computer Skills
  • Technical certificate or degree
  • Implementation of Processes / Procedures
  • 3+ years of mechanical and torque experience
